Eagle Creek Event 6/14/10

We want to thank the folks at Eagle Creek for a fantastic day!    Parents and Players, did you know that Eagle Creek has a twilight program where they offer a $5 green fee after 6pm for any parent-child combo?  We think that is a great offer and a nice way to spend time together as a family!      Dear Carolyn, The Bobbie Barnett Memorial Foundation's Cup Series kicked off this past Monday with an event at Eagle Creek in Hortonville.   Good Weather, Good Turnout Henry posted a fine 72 (must be the shorts!) We had 13 foursomes tee it up on Monday.  The field was a good mix of veteran Captains that led their groups.  The rain stayed away and we were able to have a lot of fun and shoot some nice scores in the process!   Low Scores and lots of Comaraderie   Kenzie, Carly, DVL and Dylan didn't win, but they had a good time! Amanda's Team Going Low   Alex Thompson led the Captains with a fine score of 68.  Alex's group was also the low group of the day with a very nice team score of 59.  Team members were Chris Funk, Zach Nussbaum, and Erich Norenberg. A number of teams posted a score of 64, tying for 2nd.   Cup Series Standings Points are being tallied throughout the year for the Cup Series Player of the year.  The top 10 point-earners at the end of the season will qualify for a year-end match play event along with the low 22 captain's scores throughout the summer.   Next Event - Riverview Parent /Child    We hope to see you at our next event Sunday, June 27 at Riverview Country Club.  It's a Parent/Child scramble format, with swimming and a cookout to follow golf!  Call Swing Solutions at 967-4653 to register or e-mail us at howe2golf@aol.com.   Sincerely,   Carolyn Barnett-Howe Bobbie Barnett Memorial Foundation
