Winter Program The receipt of this e-mail is confirmation that you have signed up for the Winter Program |
Starting January 31 we will begin our 9th Winter Program at Swing Solutions. This is a program about learning, self-discipline, goal setting and focus. We recognize that no two students will have the same skill set and the same goals; while some may be remarkably similar, each journey is unique.
Over the years, we are proud to say that 15 of the 18 spots for Player of the Year (the boys have swept all 9) have come from the program. Each year, thirty spots are open for all-conference selection: better than 75 percent of those chosen have participated in the Winter Program as well. But perhaps most impressive statistic, has been the number of players who have grown to embrace and love golf as their sport of choice - those numbers are in the high 500's! Because golf is an individual sport, any child or adult may compete with or without a team! In baseball, basketball or volleyball, once a player is cut, their career is essentially over. With golf, a player can learn and develop at a pace that is unique to them. As teachers, we understand that concepts take time and different students progress at different rates. We think the best formula for success involves constructive and educated guidance, focused practice and testing through competitive experiences. It is a formula that leaves no student out. |
Parents, I am in the process of putting the schedule together. I am confronted with the task of melding 100 different schedules with different abilities and expectations. Some how, it always seems to work. Please know this, it is my desire to have your child get the maximum benefit out of our program. If you have a scheduling conflict in any one week, please let me know at the beginning of the week or even the week prior and we will make arrangements for them to attend a class or session that fits your schedule for that week. Things come up: driver's ed, tests, basketball, illness are all acceptable reasons for rescheduling.
Thank you for allowing us to work with your children!
