Thank you for your interest in the Bobbie Barnett Memorial Foundation bellow is a list of our 2011 events. The registration form can be found at the bottom of this page.

2011 Location & Dates

June 9th | Deer Run, Brillion, | 8am Registration

This is a 9-hole event. We will be playing a mentor schambles bestball where we divide the players into appropriate teams.  The event allows younger players to experience tournament competition without the pressure of posting an individual score.  The tournament is appropriate for all girls and boys age eleven and up. The team captain will be a HS all-state, all-conference player or collegiate player.  Cost is $25, which includes golf and lunch.

June 15th | Eagle Creek, Hortonville | 8am Registration

This is an 18-hole event. We will be playing a mentor schambles bestball where we divide the players into appropriate teams. The event allows younger players to experience tournament competition without the pressure of posting an individual score. This tournament is open to anyone who can play 18 holes without quitting on their mentor. The team captain will be a HS all-state, all-conference player or collegiate player. Cost is $35 which includes golf and lunch.

July 10th | Mid Vallee, De Pere | 2pm Registration

This is a 9-hole Parent/Child schambles that is appropriate for players and parents/guardians of all abilities. This is a fun, family-oriented day. We will create a blind draw competitive format for the day. Registration begins at 2pm. Cost is $50 which includes golf and a light dinner.

July 11th | Rolling Meadows | 8am Registration

This is an 18-hole stroke play event open to collegiate, high school and middle school players. There will be 3 divisions: Collegiate and Varsity, JV and Developmental, and Middle School. Players can move up a division but may not move down. Cost is $35 which includes golf and lunch.

July 18th | Fox Valley | 10am Registration (11 am start)

This is an 18-hole stroke play event open to collegiate, high school and middle school players.  There will be 3 divisions: Collegiate and Varsity, JV and Developmental, and Middle School.  Players can move up a division but may not move down. Cost is $35 which includes golf and lunch.

July 31st | Waupaca Country Club, Waupaca | 2pm Registration

This is a 9-hole Parent/Child schambles event that is appropriate for players and parents/guardians of all abilities. This is a fun, family-oriented day at the beautiful Waupaca Country Club. We will create a blind draw competitive format for the day.  Cost is $60/team which includes golf and prizes, 2:00 pm registration.

August 1st | Ridgeway Country Club, Neenah | 8am Registration 

An 18-hole stroke play event, this tournament is open to collegiate, high school and middle school players. There will be 3 divisions: Collegiate and Varsity, JV and Developmental, and Middle School. Players can move up a division but may not move down. Cost is $35 which includes golf and lunch.

August 7th | Irish Waters, Freedom | 8am Registration

This is an 18-hole mentor scramble event where we divide the players into appropriate teams. The event allows younger players to experience tournament competition without the pressure of posting an individual score. This tournament is open to anyone who can play 18 holes without quitting on their mentor. The team captain will be a HS all-state, all-conference player or collegiate player. Cost is $35 which includes golf and lunch.

    Filling the Gap with the Bobbie Barnett Junior Golf Foundation Tournament Series

    By gathering the all-conference players, the all-state players, and the collegiate players who reside in the Valley, we have designed a new tournament concept that allows friends of all abilities to participate together.  Better yet, we believe this formula allows each player to develop their own potential at a rate with which they are comfortable.  Gone are the days of being cut at the age of ten!  We employ a number of competitive formats:  stroke plays, best-balls, scrambles, alternate shot and schambles.  We also believe that creating opportunities for family golf experiences are important as well.  Events that do not employ parents are led by our mentors, or team captains.  A mentor, by definition, is a junior in high school or older, an all-conference selection and/or a collegiate player.  Each mentor is our guest for the day; they are asked to help the younger players understand the rules and nature of the day’s competition, provide leadership that brings the foursome together and moves the group along in a timely fashion.  They may provide tips and hints, but they will not interfere with the younger player’s focus; it is more likely that the younger player will use the opportunity to observe the mannerisms and routines of a highly successful local star.  We incorporate both 9 and 18-hole events into our summer schedule.  Whether a child is ready to participate may vary:  good keys to follow are past experiences walking and carrying their own clubs, their level of desire and their attention span.
