Carolyn Barnett-Howe is a Life Member of the PGA of America. A graduate of the University of New Mexico, 
Carolyn enjoyed the camaraderie and competition that came with playing on a nationally ranked women’s golf team. During her competitive career, Carolyn has won two mini-tour events, twice competed in the US Open, won four Wisconsin Women’s State Open titles, twice won the National PGA Women’s stroke play and on 16 occasions, qualified for the Wisconsin State Open (the only female to have played in the event more than once). Among her firsts, Carolyn was the first female inducted into the Appleton East Hall of Fame.
While Carolyn has extensive experience working at both private and public facilities, her real passion has always been teaching and sharing the game with others. In 2002, she started Swing Solutions. With a firm understanding of the biomechanics of the golf swing, Carolyn is able to help golfers return safely to the golf course after surgery or a sidelining injury. 
Pairing her knowledge of the biomechanics of the swing with her own history as a competitor, as well as her athletic background, Carolyn quickly attracted young athletes in the Valley who wished to prep for both high school and college golf. The Swing Solutions Winter Program began in 2002 with nine players. All nine players went on to play college golf. Visit our alumni page to see the players and their tremendous accomplishments. Since that time, the program has steadily climbed to involve over 100 students each year. She has helped more than forty players find homes on college teams over the last decade.
In 2010, Carolyn and her husband Steve formed the Bobbie Barnett Junior Golf Foundation. The Foundation is focused on providing developing players with non-intimidating access to competitive events, partnering with education to give our communities ‘early and equal access to the great game of golf,’ and lastly, showcasing the young talent in Northeast Wisconsin by providing mentoring opportunities.
Carolyn and her husband Steve Howe, are both PGA professionals. They have three children and two grandchildren. They reside in Northeast Wisconsin.
